About Emily Imondi, LMHC
I'm Emily Imondi, LMHC, and I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood—not judged, analyzed, or put into a box.
My approach is warm, collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I don't believe there is one formula for therapy. Instead, we'll work together to understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be getting in your way, and develop tools that feel meaningful and realistic for your life.

I started my career as a masters-level school psychologist providing services to young children and their families in school systems. In more recent years, as a licensed mental health counselor, I have expanded my scope to working with clients in both community mental health and private practice. I have primarily shifted my focus to serving adults presenting with a range of clinical issues, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, phase of life issues and transitions, relational and/or marital issues, trauma, and self-esteem.
Drawing from all of these different clinical experiences, I pride myself on bringing an authenticity to my work and will meet my clients with honesty, respect, and a genuine heart.
Education and Training as a Licensed Psychotherapist
I received my first master's degree in School Psychology from Fordham University. I continued my training by obtaining a certificate in Applied Positive Psychology through the NY Open Center in Manhattan. My most recent graduate studies include a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University. I have conducted presentations on mental health for educators and have served as a guest speaker in graduate social work courses at my undergraduate alma mater, Fairfield University.
